Why am I standing for election?
I’m a proud Devonian. Public service is my passion. I’m a former diplomat at the Foreign Office and reservist in the Royal Naval Reserve. My career has taken me around the world, but I’m lucky to call Devon, my home.
What can I bring to the role?
It is truly a privilege to be selected to stand as the first ever Labour candidate for the new seat of South Devon.
After 14 years of the Tories, people are crying out for change across the country, including in South Devon. Labour is the only party with a plan to deliver it.
My entire career has been dedicated to the service of others. This is rooted in the values I was taught growing up in a service family.
I am proud to have represented the UK and its interests overseas with honesty, integrity and determination. I will do the same for the people of South Devon if I’m privileged enough to be elected as your next Member of Parliament.
It is time for change. We can all feel it. I am looking forward to being part of that change with you all!

South Devon has been taken for granted by the Tories for too long. I will be a vocal champion for everyone across South Devon. My priorities will be:
- Tackling the cost of living crisis
- Getting energy bills under control
- Improving access to GPs and dentists
- Cracking down on illegal sewage dumping
- Building homes for local people
- Securing our borders
